Refund Policy

When refunds happen, how fast they land, and what we deduct — written plainly, because you should always know where your money stands.

Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how LoopGG issues refunds for rentals, purchases, pre-orders, and cancellations. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

The short version: rental deposits are refunded automatically when your disc comes back in good shape; purchases have a 7-day no-questions return window; and we never keep a rupee we haven’t earned.

Rental deposit refunds

IN PLAIN ENGLISHYou pay the full MRP upfront as a deposit. When your disc is returned and passes inspection, we refund deposit − (daily fee × days played) − any damage fees — usually within minutes.

When you rent a game, you pay the title’s full MRP as a refundable deposit. This is not the rental cost — it secures the disc while it’s with you.

  • What you get back:deposit − (daily rental fee × days played) − any applicable damage fees.
  • When it’s triggered: as soon as we receive your disc and it passes our inspection.
  • How fast: refunds are processed instantly on our end and typically reach your UPI within minutes; card refunds may take 3–5 business days depending on your bank.
  • Where it goes:to the UPI ID linked to your order. Make sure it’s correct before placing your order — we can’t redirect a refund once it’s been sent.

Your live “refund on return” balance is always visible on the rental card in your library, so there are no surprises.

2-day purchase returns

IN PLAIN ENGLISHWe accept returns within 2 days of delivery only if there is a verified issue with the disc — such as it being unreadable, physically defective, or the wrong title. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.

Every game purchased on LoopGG (whether new or pre-owned) is eligible for a return within 2 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.

We only accept returns if there is a problem with the disc. This includes:

  • The disc does not read or play on a compatible console.
  • The disc or case arrived physically damaged or defective.
  • The wrong title was delivered.
  • An accessory or insert listed on the product page is missing.

We do not accept returns for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or because the game did not meet personal expectations. Please check compatibility and platform requirements before purchasing.

  • How to raise a return:tap “Return” on your order in the library within 2 days of delivery, describe the issue and attach a photo or short video showing the defect.
  • Free pickup:if the return is approved, we’ll book a free reverse pickup from your door — no packaging or printing needed.
  • Refund amount: full purchase price, issued once the disc reaches us and the defect is confirmed.

Some titles or promotional bundles may carry different return terms — these will be shown clearly at checkout before you pay.

Pre-order cancellations

IN PLAIN ENGLISHCancel a pre-order any time before the 48-hour launch lock for a full refund. Inside the lock, normal return rules apply once the disc reaches you.

Pre-orders can be cancelled and fully refunded at any point up to 48 hours before the title’s launch date.

Inside the 48-hour launch lock, the allocation is committed and cancellation is no longer possible. Once the disc reaches you, the standard 2-day defect return window (for purchases) or normal rental-return rules apply.

If LoopGG is unable to fulfil your pre-order — for example due to stock constraints — we will cancel and refund you in full, no action required on your part.

Order cancellations

You can cancel any order for a full refund before it is dispatched. Once the disc is with the courier, cancellation is no longer available — use the 7-day purchase return or standard rental return instead.

LoopGG may also cancel an order in full if a disc becomes unavailable, if we are unable to verify your identity, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. In all such cases you will receive a complete refund with no deduction.

Faulty or wrong item

IN PLAIN ENGLISHIf a disc won’t read on arrival or we sent the wrong title, that’s entirely on us. Report it within 48 hours and we’ll replace or fully refund — no return shipping cost to you.

Every disc is tested before dispatch, but if something slips through:

  • Disc won’t read on arrival: report within 48 hours of deliveryvia the order page. We’ll either send a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. You will never be charged a damage fee for a disc that arrived faulty.
  • Wrong title delivered:report within 48 hours. We’ll arrange a free pickup and dispatch the correct game or issue a full refund.
  • Missing accessories or inserts:contact support with photos within 48 hours and we’ll make it right.

Reports made after 48 hours may still be considered at our discretion, but we recommend checking your order as soon as it arrives.

Damage deductions

IN PLAIN ENGLISHLight scratches that still play: flat ₹500 buffing fee deducted from your deposit. Unreadable or unreturned discs: remaining MRP deducted — never more than the game’s value.

Damage fees apply to rentals only and are deducted from the upfront deposit before the refund is issued. We never charge more than the value of the disc:

  • Light scratches (disc still plays): flat ₹500 buffing fee.
  • Deep scratches or unreadable disc: remaining MRPdeducted from deposit. You are never charged a penalty on top of the disc’s value.
  • Disc not returned: full remaining MRP retained from the deposit. No additional charges beyond what you already paid upfront.

Every returned disc is tested on a console before re-entering rotation. If our inspection finds no damage, your full remaining deposit is refunded — no exceptions.

Marketplace seller purchases

Pre-owned games listed by independent sellers on the LoopGG Marketplace carry the same 2-day defect return window as LoopGG-direct purchases. Returns are handled by LoopGG — you never need to contact the seller directly.

When a buyer returns a marketplace item, the seller’s earnings for that order are placed on hold until the return is resolved. If the disc passes inspection, the return is accepted and the seller’s earnings are released back to them; if the disc arrives damaged by the buyer, the case is reviewed and resolved fairly.

How refunds are processed

IN PLAIN ENGLISHRefunds go to your original payment method or the UPI ID on the order. UPI refunds land within minutes; card refunds take 3–5 business days via your bank.

All refunds are processed through Razorpay, our payment partner.

  • UPI: refunds are typically credited within minutes of being triggered.
  • Credit / debit card: 3–5 business days, depending on your card issuer.
  • Net-banking / wallets: 3–5 business days.

If a payment failed but your bank still debited you, no order was created on our end — the amount is auto-reversed by your bank, typically within 3–5 business days. Contact your bank first; if it hasn’t resolved in 7 days, write to us.

We do not redirect refunds to a different account or payment method than the one used at checkout. If you need an exception, contact support before the refund is triggered.

Chargebacks & payment disputes

IN PLAIN ENGLISHPlease contact us before raising a chargeback. Chargebacks bypass our refund process, freeze your account, and take far longer to resolve than a direct request to our support team.

If you paid by credit or debit card and have a concern about a charge, we ask that you contact us first at support@loopgg.com rather than initiating a chargeback with your bank.

Here’s why this matters:

  • Our support team can resolve most legitimate issues — refunds, defects, missing orders — within 1–2 business days.
  • A chargeback immediately freezes your LoopGG account and any pending refunds or earnings while the bank investigation runs, which typically takes 30–90 days.
  • Chargebacks filed without a prior support attempt may be disputed by us with full transaction evidence, which can result in the chargeback being reversed.

We understand chargebacks exist to protect consumers and we respect that right. If you have contacted us and we have not resolved a valid claim within a reasonable time, you are of course free to escalate through your bank. We simply ask for the chance to make it right first.

Accounts found to have made fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks (e.g. on orders that were delivered and accepted) may be permanently suspended and referred for recovery.

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Nothing here limits any rights you have under India’s consumer-protection legislation that cannot be lawfully excluded. For unresolved disputes, the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
